Kuindzhi Center for Contemporary Art and Culture was opened in Mariupol in 2004 after the reorganization of the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore. Every year the center organizes more than 50 art exhibitions in various fields – from expressionism to abstraction, conducts scientific and educational activities. Art funds contain at least 2 thousand pieces of art (paintings, graphics, sculptures). In addition, the center houses a unique collection of contemporary artworks by Ukrainian painters.
